TOEFL is the most common prerequisite for international students wishing to study at the university level in English speaking countries.

SAT is the standardized college entrance test required for students who wish to apply for universities / colleges in U.S.A. SAT I consists of the assessment of the critical reading, mathematical reasoning, and writing skills. 

SAT II is a subject test and required for selective universities / colleges.

AP courses are recognized as first year credits at some universities.

Good standing in AP courses and exams demonstrates to universities and colleges, the academic capabilities of a student; and therefore, makes the student more desirable as a potential candidate.
